Krabi February 2010 Travelogue
Â
DAY 1/ 1515 HR:
I arrived at the spanking new Krabi Airport with three other friends, and was greeted with the familiar sight of haggling taxi and bus drivers. We hastily paid for a 90 THB bus ticket each and hopped onto a bus with a bunch of other backpacking tourists, who seemed as lost as I was. Despite the sweltering heat, I was filled with anticipation as the bus rambled on and finally came to a standstill at the first stop – Krabi Town.
Krabi Town’s a self-contained, neat tourist town, with an idyllic and charmingly self-assured air about it. It is a town of character filled with its own quirks. Take a slow stroll down the streets and one will discover, with sheer delight, indie lazy reggae bars comfortably and safely tucked away in its nooks and crannies. - Next page
