Kaohsiung is the second largest city and the Harbour Capital of Taiwan.  

What Taipei has to offer, Kaohsiung has it – and at a lower cost! What’s more, Kaohsiung City is more organised and has less traffic jams than the capital city. The affordability of living, food, shopping and transportation makes Kaohsiung a city worth a visit.

Taiwanese Food Trail
Rueifeng Night Market, located near Kaohsiung Arena, is the best place to pick up delicious Taiwanese food such as stinky tofu, mango ice and BBQ squids. Besides food stalls, the night market also offers cheap bargains from handbags to sunglasses.  The only gripe that anyone could have is probably that it gets really crowded after 8pm.
