March marks the beginning of spring in the northern hemisphere. Most of us love spring for its lovely weather as flowers are “dressed” in their best during this time of the year. This is the season for us to travel out of our tropical island to check out the best parks, gardens and nature reserves around the world to enjoy spring to the fullest.
Ueno Park – Tokyo, Japan
Spring is the season when cherry blossoms (or sakura in Japanese) bloom. If you are preparing to go to Tokyo this spring, check out Ueno Park, which is conveniently situated near Ueno subway station. There are more than 1000 sakura trees along the pathway. Ueno Park gets crowded during the Japanese custom of Hanami (or flower viewing) sometime between late March and early April when the flowers bloom at its best. - Next page
