Singapore Food Festival Tours

Singapore is a foodie’s paradise. Other than our tropical warm weather, shopping and clean & green reputation, it’s the food that truly draws tourists. No visit to Singapore is complete until one samples the cuisine of every local ethnic group. The next time you have a friend visiting from overseas, take them down for a Heritage Culinary Adventure at the Singapore Food Festival, so that they can learn more about the colourful heritage of multi-cultural Singapore as they sample the wide range of ethnic dishes. This can also be a great opportunity for a family outing or gathering among friends who would love to learn more about cooking and local dishes. There are three eye-opening tours to choose from, on land, river and even in the air.

Little India on Land

Participants to the Heritage Trail @ Little India get to experience a tour, learn how to mix and grind their own blend of spices and also learn more about the unique ingredients and kitchenware used in Indian Cuisine. The walk would also be an ideal photo opportunity of the sights of Little India as a trishaw ride is included. Start the tour with a hearty breakfast at Komala Vilas Restaurant where you can feast on local Indian breakfast favourites. Walk off the full stomach as you tour vegetable shops, Spice shops, Silverware shops and even a Flour Mill with Spice Grinder. Participants will then get a chance relax and observe a cooking demonstration by a Masterchef to learn how to make Chicken Tikka and savour authentic Indian cuisine at an Indian restaurant. The tour ends with a set meal at Muthu’s Curry that includes exotic favourites such as Fish Head Curry, Chicken Tikka, Peneer Makhni, Naan and sweet Carrot Halwa for dessert.
