Fisherman's Market arrives at The Central

Seafood is an all-time favorite cuisine in Singapore, and now there are more seafood buffet options to indulge in. If you love both Japanese sushi and Japanese-Western style seafood, then look no further than the Fisherman’s Market for their Buffet Dinners. The Fisherman’s Market chain originated from Kobe and Yokohama and top Japanese chefs were specially flown into Singapore to serve up a sumptuous array of over 90 food dishes. Sprawling across a total floor space of 10,000 sq feet at The Central at Clarke Quay, this is also an ideal spot for reunions and gatherings because of the long tables provided. The pristine looking restaurant with high ceilings, full glass windows and warm wood flooring also features a full bar with a choice of international wines and beers that complement the wide array of seafood freshly flown in from South Asia, Australia, North America and Japan. Choose between indoor or outdoor seating overlooking the Singapore River, the colourful old fire-station (MICA building) and watch tourist bumboats cruising by, giving a laid-back ambience to casual buffet dining.

Apart from seafood, Fisherman’s Market also provides a generous selection of Japanese-Western style pizzas and pastas, from Marinara pizza topped with succulent squid, to more delicate and sweet tasting Maple Honey thin-crust pizza. Japanese buffet options, such as succulent Beef Sukiyaki and fresh Tempura are also available. Choose which vegetables and prawns you might want to have Tempura-ed, deposit a table-clip, and have the Tempura fresh and crispy, rapidly delivered to your table.

The appetizers both cold dishes and warm, come in a full spread of various types of soups and salads, from Chicken & Apricot with mustard dressing that provides a little zing, to classic Japanese Pork stewed in shoyu with anise flavour. Fresh sashimi and sushi are also constantly replenished and laid out for guests to eat to their heart’s delight. Some of the must-try dishes include Scallop & zucchini in balsamico style marinade presented prettily in their shells, Fresh oysters shucked by the chef right in front of you, Provence Style Mussels and the all-time favourite pickled Flower Crab. Fish lovers would also love the Grilled Salmon in fragrant herb butter sauce and White Fish escabache.

Leave some room for dessert though, as the dessert selection features a beautifully creamy and decadent Chocolate fountain, tiramisu, creme brulee and other popular western desserts. Their cream-puffs with soft creamy centre are made in true-blue Japanese style cream puffs (think Beard Papa), and are delightful when dipped into the chocolate fountain. For those who prefer something more savoury, cheese fondue is also available, perfect for sharing among friends.

Buffet Dinners are priced at $39.90++ (adults) and $22.90++ (children below 12) from Mondays to Thursdays, and $49.90++ (adults) and $27.90++ (children below 12) from Fridays to Sundays.
Also, from now till 31st July 2011, as part of its opening celebration special, dine with 10% off your total bill.
