Lady Gaga in Concert at the SingTel Exclusive Showcase
Lady Gaga is a phenomenon. Her vocals are crystal clear and watching her energy emanate to the audience from the stage, there is no doubt whatsoever that her star is just going to shine even brighter in the coming years. With only about 3 years since she burst forth on the pop culture scene like a supernova, Lady Gaga has already charmed millions of fans worldwide and her little monsters in Singapore as well as the entire South-East Asian region clamored for the opportunity to catch her live in Marina Bay Sands on the 7 July.
She held the audience enthralled as she performed songs from her newer album, such as “Born this Way” and “Judas”, as well as popular favourites from her previous albums such as “Alejandro”, “Bad Romance” and “Telephone” which were received with cheers and much “monster-hands” from fans.
Her dancing (and her dance team’s choreography) was full of passion and one could see the sensitive soul within the awe-inspiring performer as she shared with her fans her love through her music. When she began to play the grandpiano, sitting or crouched low in “monster-position”, her natural talent and ability is a sight to behold. Auto-tune be damned, Lady Gaga can astound with just pure talent in her vocals, composing and piano playing. She was also unabashed to shed a tear or two as she shared what her inspirations were behind her newest song “Hair”. As her heartfelt lyrics go, “I’ve had enough. This is my prayer. That I’ll die living just as free as my hair.”

Was there any cocktail reception before the concert?
No cocktail reception I think… I was there but didn’t notice anything. Then again I came quite late, after 7.30… did the singtel organizers promise that?
